I had been running on 195/60/14 to help correct the spedo as they are about 10% fast

i blame my dad for the tyres i said 60's he said 55's mainly coz there lower profile i guess but is no problem normally just this 1 mot guy
he is just being nastey becouse i am english

my engine is like new i am very happy and my 0-60 mph gave 9.8 secs to 60!!!! it really pushed me into my seat i am sure its 90hp version now.

dai we had the speedo checked and its well in the limites

ohh yeah the seat belt thing blinks when your not waring you seat belt

Btw why don't you ask your dad to take them to MOT....maybe that guy will be more polite , and have more respect ?

I believe it is not because of speedo difference really, but load rating.

185/60-14 has load index of 82 and 185/55-14 has load index of 80. This load index can't be lower than those marked in registration papers.

With 360GL you could get away with that because standard tire has load rating of 79 (155/80-13 here), imo. But with GLT is not allowed.

edit: Oh yes, just realised that you did not have GLT, so surely should those tires be ok, profile can be different a bit as well as diameter. Sent complain to EU commission and they will sue France from not obeying EU directive

Will - I asume your spedo is KPH not MPH as KPH sedos are more on the mark from what I have seen.

first me and my dad both went to mot
second the tyres are perfect just not for french
third its a mph&km 1 but its has a thing on the back of cable to adjust it custom made i belive.

Tyres might not be the problem as the spedo is in it's limits and since load limit is allowed for this type of car ( not GLT ), and also that handle on the right side isn't affecting MOT test itself.

well i am sure in the uk this things would be acceptible so he is just being an arse hole and i have to go back to him for retest by law

any way so far i fixed the head light (it wasnt in right)
found a handel
and worring about tyres.
ohh and insurance (i go on it with my dad so its 75 euros for him! and a million times more for me so iam sure he is happy

yes you droped the right penny i do have a spare in very good condition but i put it on another car while it gets new tyres too all are cars are getting new tyres


And Yes I Am VERY Happy i spent such alot of time on that engine i still think it needs more


i cant have my strate through exhaust becouse of fuel tank..guess it saves me money though ill just put a stanless steel back box on and maybe a performance expander. but thats later
