Errrr, no. SD1s only had the 3.5 engine as standard and the Vitesse's were rated at 190bhp with the Lucas EFi. Later Twin PLenum Vitesses pushed the power over 200bhp (that's be the car I'd really like but they sell for big money!)

Oh, and a cheeky pic for germ, and to annoy James:
But with Fioner, to keep it relevant. Taken at some services on the M4 on the way back from picking the car up.
And the reason for the glorious sound track:

Sorry, I do apologise, the 3.5 EFI's were 190bhp - twas the carb'd 3.5's that were 155.
Yea, a twin plenum Vitesse would be nice - I saw one yesterday as a matter of fact and the driver wasn't scared.........

I have always liked from such car, from the day when I saw one at road rally stage, great sound, stylish design, oh and I guess it was never sold in here.

my dad had 1 many a year ago he said he would of kept it if it of have a 5 speed box, must of been a auto so i guess not a v8 ?
any way congrates on your car very very nice (iam not gealous or anything )

The Range Rover V8 was 135bhp, SD1 was 155bhp, P6 was meant to be 168bhp and the SD1 EFi 190bhp/
The last one I built to put in my mates hot rod was a late SD1 stiff block with P6 Rods and Pistons, mildly ported SD1 heads and a Edelbrock/Weber carb and manifold. Made 220bhp ATF which aint too bad at all. I'd definetley recommend getting the Edelbrock carb and manifold they're excellent loads better than the SUs and the usual Holley/Offenhauser combo.
Wait a second i havent read it yet but you do know that wikkipedia is made up from people that upload info there so most of it is compleatly nonsence surly you saw it on the news..
