Mine was up for £750 without any of the extra work done. But luckily I knew the guy and when he said I could have it for £400 I wasn't gonna say no!!

The early ones were indeed just a 'T5', as far as I know. Later on you could get a T5 with 'S' spec (manual rear windows, etc) through to CD trim with a power driver's seat, etc.

cheers

Yeah they are nice I have to admit. But I don't reckon they'd have quite the same 'punch' behind them - feel free to correct me though as I've never tried one!! Although if it had been a 960 for £400 I'd have definitely taken that anyway :)

Yeah, even a 3.0 manual isn't going to be that brisk.... certainly not T5 pace! T6 a 960 however.... :D

A 3.0 manual S90 (as 960 saloons were badged after...97?) is just a shade slower than my S70 2.5 20v....so a fair bit slower than a T5.

We were talking about speed!

The 960/x90 series cars are more refined in terms of engine and driveline noise & vibration....other than that, the S/V70s have them licked on almost every count.

cheers

Yeah well the 960 turbo is just a 2.3 redblock turbo again... same tuning potential as any 700/900 tbh

The 960 (auto) is a quick car in fainess. Strap on a turbo or blower and you can have a mental car.

If I had teh coice between the 960 and T5 I would go for the 960 - if the T5 had the engien fitted correctly that desision could be different
