Very nice numbers...especially given that the clutch was slipping. Is that calculated at the flywheel, or measured at the wheels?

We were running 27psi on Ryan's B230FK with 13mm rods. This car also has 13mm rods. They're generally considered to be good for 2 Bar / 30psi.

Ryan's car made 295lbft / 276bhp, but limited to 20psi and 4800rpm due to inbalanced injectors...but of course with the much less efficient 8v cylinder head. We're expecting ~350 at 2 Bar and 6500rpm.

Clutch aside, how's the drivetrain holding up?

cheers

Calculated wheel figure was 263Bhp, diff has been replaced with welded one, as old one shatered..gearbox seems o.k
I'm using 660cc injectors, so there's scope for more..

Faaair play! That must go like absolute stink! I've nearly outbraked myself several times with 170bhp so that must be absolutely mental! What gears will it spin through straight line in the dry?

To my mind 80-120km/h test tells more about the performance than 0-100km/h time. Mainly because in Volvo gearboxes first gear is too short to make good launch and fast shifts just destroy the gearbox.

Forgive my ignorance...but what is the engine exactly? B230 with a 16v head and turbo? from what exactly? is there a 16v head that will fit the b200/b230?

16V heads from B204 and B234 series engines will fit in b200 and b230 series. You just have to sort out the timing belt and tensioners but there are bolt on parts for that too.

Cloud - if memory serves correctly, it's a B230FT with reliefs for the valves cut into the pistons...with a B234 (16v) head tacked on using a Dick Prince tensioner.

Exhaust manifold is custom. It originally had a TD04-15G from an 850 T5, but now has something much larger fitted (it probably says further up this thread...but I'm lazy :))

cheers
