I haven't spoken to them directly yet, but I believe they tend to be £4-500 or so...but on a one-off basis - no MOQ :D

cheers

And depending on what they make they most likely won't be worth it. Theres a reason that good off the shelf ones cost more than you've been quoted for a single ;)

Granted without actually testing it you can't be sure, but for hard use, I'm super dubious of a 500 quid slipper.

Looking at their prices today, I may have underestimated. The T5 ones (via an agent) used to be £5-600, so I took a guess at the original price.

It looks like £5-600 is likely to be the actual price. I think I will give them a call...the 343 is calling out for one :)

here we go again !!.

the Alfa 75 box is quite a bit longer and has the clutch at the back too , bit of engineering work there .

ive commented before on the CWP being small even tho the dana 30 stuff apparently fits with work .

if youre serious about power go for the porsche option , itll have a LSD as std .

on that note tho , a guy at work use to work for dana spicer and the salisbury 7HA is about the same as teh dana , but you cant get decent ratios .

i dont see a cheap way out of this one , if you want a decent amount of power .

well seeing that the dana 30 fits one assumes teh splines must be teh same , the EZ locker is about £120 and isnt as good fro the road as a slipper/torsen type but could well be an option if you could fit it into the diff cage .

foggy ive got open and locker variants the dana 30 at the workhop but havent we been down this route before that its much bigger than 340 rear end ?

It's the 960 rear end which we compared side by side. There are pics which appear to show a Dana 30 diff in a 300 case. I'll get a spare diff ready, and we'll have a play...

I have looked into this, and it is possible to get the 940 diff in a 300 housing but it requires some machining and custom parts being made!!

Came across an interesting thread on an Oz Toyota forum discussing putting Volvo diffs in thier celica's.

Seems to be alot of talk about possiable locking methods on the diffs as well as some interesting links...

Don't really know alot about the whole 300/Dana 30/LSD situation at the moment but maybe someone more knowledgable make some sense of it..

Is it customary down under to refer to what I'd call the axle (i.e. the whole thing...diff, axle tubes, hubs, brakes, etc) as the "diff"...or are the Toyota guys just a bit thick? That confused the crap out of me...

As for the guy who says it'll hold 1200bhp....good luck with that. Dug Strickler (the guy with the Volvette...twin turbocharged Corvette engine in a 740 estate) is pushing around 500whp and boatloads of torque through a standard axle, and the collective jaws of the Turbobricks crowd are on the floor. They usually give grief beyond about 400bhp (crank).

I'll have a spare box to play with shortly...I think I might have to get myself a Dana 30 R&P set from a 240 and see how I get on!

cheers

Dana 30 sits up front on my Cherokee as it does with all XJ Cherokee's from 93-01.
Plenty of lockers and ATB's available for them if you know where to look.

Dana 35 out back.Probs too big tho'.

4.56 ring pinion too 8)

Not as good as Japanese 4x4's tho' or people carriers,TVs or owt in fact but there you go.

Pity Gordon Brown managed to make sterling worthless-still atleast you save 2.5% Vat,well for a few months anyhow.
There'd be some bargains to be had from the States if we went back to the ol' $2 to the £1.

Unfortunately in 10yrs time when this happens we'll all have proper cars or no house/job
