valdemaras wrote:i should say i am very pleased with the price of parts for my volvo

recently i bought me a new tie rod end and it cost less than 9 euros, and universal joint (i think this is its english name

) cost 19 euros. i`m glad \
and now i bougt wheel bearings for front wheel, and thei came for 7 euros, with some discount ofcourse

so i could say that the maitenanse is kind a cheap thing for thees cars in lithuania

And there's a reason why some of the parts are so cheap and readily available: The tie rod end is the same as in a BMW E21 series (1975-1982), and VW Golf I (1974-1983) platform, also used in other early 80's VWs. What part do you mean by universal joint, could you explain?

OK that looks more like a lower ball joint. That's not shared with any other car models...

Hey there. have you tried putting the cone directly onto the air flow meter? I kinda feel that the intake air is heated up too much in the long tube, also a shorter intake might give some faster reving

i tried that, but to fit air filter i had to push the meter a lit back, and then the rubber hose that goes to intake manifold get twisted, and the air filter sits on the hose that goes from radiator, and it heats, and as i put it on that tube i felt no difference

also made some work on my 360
refiled my front shocks with new oil, as i didn`t manage to find 20w50 oil used 15w40, no changes in stiffness, but now the shocks do their job as they suppose to do

well today i decided to remove the EGR system.

the nuts were hard to unscrew but swearing in russian made the job easier
For now i just smashed the pipe to block that hole in exhaust manifold, but i`m in search how to block it properly
