hey man, epic thread. i gues i looked over it until now lol
just noticed that you misplaced the vacuum restrictor
you placed it in the bottom of the carb, before the T-piece. it needs to be installed behind the T-piece in the hose that goes to the rocker cover. the way it's connected now you'll have clutch problems and the cvt won't have vacuum assistance

Hello, thank and well spotted, luckily Mac also let me know and the de-clutching system is now working great.
There will be a few more pics soon and a question coming.

Excellent work!! Absolutely top-flight material, but do not overdo it with eye issues. Sorry to hear about that - one of my mares is that something dodgy might fly into the eyes. The welder has started work on mine - I went to see him today and said I would ask about the valance again, but on seeing that you have been ill, don't feel pressed - just idly enquiring ;-0

Good day all sorry for delay in replying.
14/09/17
Today was started by sorting out the issues for the MOT.
Sorted the jacking points, they needed a little bend back in to place, going to examine them closer and may come up with a box section kind of thing for the jack points to make them stronger.
Did up the handbrake cable a few turns.
Moved the passenger brake line to stop fouling.
Tighten up the brake line on the drivers side.

Then I started to find out why she was not gearing up, turns out the seal in the end of the primary unit is leaking, new seals have been ordered.

15/09/17
Today she went of for the retest, here she is sat waiting.

And at long last and after 19 months work, she has passed

Still got a few little bits left to do including sorting out the cvt
So more to come

Hi,
but all the noticed issues are absolutely relevant, no fun ...
If you want to get crazy, try to get the car back on the road with the German "TÜV".
Then you may tell this awesome....
Regards
Ralf

Yes all the points are relevant, I am happy for them to pick up on them, I would much rather they picked up on those and for me to fix them.
I am still proud that I have taken her from a car to dismantle back to a car again.
For me it is an achievement!

What for the green switches near gauges?

Nothing at the moment as far as I know. When I sold the panel to Ben they had wires going from one back past the gear selector and to a red light which at some point would have been an alarm but the wires going to the alarm box wherever it is were cut and sat behind the panel.
The other switch had nothing attached to it.

The switches are for accessories, in my case one switch is used to turn off the hella grill lights so they do not come on with the full beam.

Ok, in mine 340 I shall put the 3º gauge and the fog and spot light switches goes near central console where you have back wiper and downhill switch.

Near the handbrake in front of the gear selector.
