Hello guys! I've just come back from a trip to Budapest so I'll share a few photos.
But first I'd like to ad the photos that I modified in Photoshop, those that Jtbo had problems with:
and another try:
This is the best I could do with them. It doesn't look to good, but I think that it's better than the original.
In my second replay I will post my photos from Budapest.

Budapest Parliament:

The Budapest Parliaments Cupola from the inside.
House of Terror:

The House of Terror [Terror Haza] in Budapest on Andrassy avenue, 60. The photos on the wall are the victims.
Tank - House of Terror:

A tank in the Museum of the House of Terror in Budapest on Andrassy Avenue, 60.
The tank can be seen inside the building and was lifted in with a crain.
The House of Terror is an amazing museum, I recommend it to everyone who goes to Budapest. It show a little of what was the fascist and communist regime in Hungary, but it is shocking. It is on Andrassy Avenue, 60.

Love the dark atmosphere of those last two photos. I think I've even been in the House of Terror years ago, I remember an exposition on Imre Nagy and the 1956 revolution.

Yes, you must have been than. The museum has been open since 2002.
The whole place is like that, I really liked it. I like museums in general that are related to these topics. The only problem was that we weren't allowed to take photos inside the building. The prisons in the basement have a special mood to them, you know what happened there years ago and now you are walking trough there. It is quite spooky and you kind of start watching your back to see if anybody is behind you when you enter the cells.
I really recommend it to anyone who is passing trough or staying in Budapest for a few days. And you could go to the citadella on top of Gellert mountain, or to the Buda castle or you could contact me and I could tell you a whole lot of places

I've been there a couple of times.
And if you need any pointers to were to go in Romania I could also help you and I could also give a few pointers for Hungary.
So just ask!

I did manage to scan few old film photos which I took (cheap film camera with no adjustments), when I was around 12 years old, also one photo where I'm subject of photography.

We don't have many big castles like there is in UK, but we have 2 some kind of castles

Place where I spent time when kid

Some french crap that I'm standing next to, well got a chance to sit in that too, seats were very crappy, like some old sofa

Well it was nice experience when that young, I'm that stupid looking taller kid next to that, ummm, vehicle
arpi, you got my squirrel show up much better, but indeed it is quite bad errors in that photo, which might require some serious reconstruction. Must save to better lens, maybe I can get one before I manage to accidently destroy my SLR too like I managed to destroy my pocket digital, slammed car door shut and it got into middle, so display split into two and shows only white

Hmm...I haven't really seen any portraits here so I'll post one. It's one of my best portraits that's why I'm posting it, it's not me on the photo
We should comment each others photos. I really liked the old scanned photos from Jtbo, the old photo color and the scan with the castle gives a real good picture. It has an old feel to it, like our good old 300 series Volvos
The last picture is quite funny with the white faces
So here is the portrait:
I also posted this photo on the volvo300mania flickr group...

It was taken in a Volvo 360 GLS

so I think it's still on topic.
I wish you all a good day/night!

Interesting car

The steering wheel kind of looks like one borrowed from a peugeot from the same time/era.
Was it a working prototype or just a showcase? Would have been interesting to take that for a spin

Did anybody take into consideration that if you want to drive a car you want to see what's in front of you???

Whit a dash like that you have a slim chance to see anything that's in front, probably the back view is better. Anyway it's a nice photo and a not so nice car

or on second thought it doesn't look so bad

I doubt that rear view is much better, but it had several cameras that did show what is behind, that is why it had monitors like K.I.T.T
http://www.peugeot.com/en/design/concep ... oxima.aspx
Funny how I can remember such detail from 1988 even I can't remember did I eat today or not
Also wheels of that car did resemble alloy wheels that were used in their bigger models during those times.
I don't know who had idea to put those seats in that car, those don't really look very sporty to me
Car was created perhaps around 1984 or 1986, haven't really found truth about that, those times car designers still owned at least some rulers, but quite soon after that they seem to loose all of them
There was need for small cuts in that pic as there were some bloke standing other side of car and I did not like it, so I did remove background from pic, however I could not make windshield very nice, also reflection in other side of cockpit is bit bad because of my photshopping is not very good, but it is sufficient for that french crap thing
I think there were only one made, but I can be wrong. However it was very rare to see such special vehicle in small showroom at little town here in Finland, during 80's it was time when our country was filled with Ladas and other soviet vehicles.
Unfortunately I have no pic from K.I.T.T, that was really big event when that car visited in this country.
