Surprised i lasted so long haha, really was the best 80 quid i've spent though
IWhen i got the peugeot I wanted to be all out modifyer, then you learn a bit and i went for OEM + sort of better but still looking standard, upgrading to top spec, that sort of thing. I'm quite an imaginative and creative person and like to leave my own touch so we will see. I still havn't even driven the car yet so early days

... Picking it up in 6 hours
Hopefully insured tonight so i can go out in it tomorrow morning.
I might whack my pipercross cone / foam air filter on tomorrow and see what it sounds like. Anyone else fitted one to the 2litre? And i take it there would be no problem in putting straight onto the end of the MAF sensor? with a cold air feed of course

Good news man.
A few people are running Cone filters so there shouldnt be a problem.
.... famous last words.

yeah, presume fuel efficiency will drop. did on the peugeot.
I cant remember what the engine is like exactly, is there any other breathers etc between the MAF and filter?

You can just put it on the end of the MAF, it makes bugger all difference though - I had one for a while and took it off because the noise got annoying, it aint fast enough to make induction noise like that

No other breathers... unless you've got the B200EA lump (mainland europe/Aussie)
When you whack the filter on, let us know how it goes
I had a K+N kit on my Range-Rover classic, bugger all performance difference, but by god it made that V8 howl. kinda worth it

Cheers!
Yeah was same on the peugeot, actually made it slower at times. I'll see how it sounds anyway, failing that i'll probably use the standard airbox but shorten the tubing to have the filter at the MAF side of the car. if it fits.
Aye think i seen a pic of one with some random tube thing that i didn't think was there on mine, must have been from abroard
Depends how loud, how badly it affects fuel, and if it feels any different, I might or might not keep it on. Worth a go.
List of the ones i fitted to the 206:
Halfords 'ripspeed' one
K&N dual cone thing
K&N single cone (much smaller)
Pipercross
All these were fitted with combinations of some lovely tubing i bourght and sticking it straight onto the throttle body. Currently have the pipercross on the TB as it sounds best

Noise = power.
