Hmm Might be my numbers are a bit out.
edit: just checked on an MPG calculator online that i get 27.21MPG
MS has always interested me but ATM every penny i have goes into the fuel tank so that will have to wait.
Did read somewhere about the new rules etc. that are coming in. Some people reckoned remaps could violate MOTs and rules on HIDs would be much more closely adhered to. Don't you just hate the people who make the rules

I think many on here would agree with that.
No doubt there is something off with your engine, but don't expect to get anything over 25MPG IMO.

i was getting about 50mpg on my trip from home to college (150 miles, 130 on motorway) in a 1.4 340, can that be bettered?

didn't change the air filter it's self, just cleaned the housing and all the tubing, air flow meter and throttle body and as much of the inlet manifold as i could without taking it off. Also set the idle by the little screw on the underside of the inlet manifold.
Reckon fuel filter (the engine bay one atleast) is next - it looks like it hasn't been replaced for a while. Will ask for one for xmas
I only really do country roads and round the town (motorways bore me lol) Have started to cut my weekly mileage from 250 miles to just 100. and driving all economy-wise etc. It sucks!
Least i know my life savings will stretch about 100 miles
