ok, nix gezegd...

kick their asses at Zolder Boris!! sm4 :360:

Car check is coming up, the list i can make out so far of fall issue's are

- broken windschield
- broken doorhandel
- play in steeringhouse
- exhaust leak

fiddled around with Mike07 yesterday and fixed the doorhandel and window issue.. boy i was shocked to see what was hidden under the window.. next time i will remeber that it needs some welding when i will replace this one

Today first day of working in the new shop! so i bought some cabinets.. it may be a race car but its still a volvo!

Image

After loading out the cabinets i took a look at the steeringhouse, it turns out it was loose in the bolts and also one of the bearings was loose, bolted it all back and put in a new bearing and she's as sharp as a knife in the corners again!

Pulled the old engine, Parted a 360 with 127,000 KM on the engine that will be dropped back in.

Painted the rollbars, only one pic while i was putting them back

Right yesterday i took the 360 out for a testsession. I had no slicks left that where any good. I did had some old Micheline slicks i got from Mike07. Figure everything is better than streettires so i went on with it. Car feels great new engine really wants to go. Also got myself a laptimer and the second round i already took 10 seconds of my old time around 02:23.

However the tires did not feel good. i just kept thinking, they are old i just need to get some more heat into them. Car was struggling around corners so i did not wanna push full. good thing because after around 4 laps the front tire popped and went straight into the fence with the back of the car, spun front and hit the front of the car. lucky for me it was close a manned posted so i could park my car behind the fence and talk to the guy. he told me that i just bumped of the fence twice no damage on it.. Thank got cause its allot of money to get it replaced.

Time to check out what happened to the car. its some nasty damage but i think i can say i was pretty lucky cause its a high speed moment on the track. not sure how fast we go there but its full throttle for a long way. After the session i drove back to the pits and thankfully there where some other 360Cup drivers who wanted to lend me a tire so i could at least drive home again.

Conclusion, really happy with the new engine, and never drive old tires if they dont feel good.

The new racing season is upon us. Upcoming Sunday I will the second year in a row go into battle with my self-built Volvo 360 for 1st place in the Volvo 360 Cup at various circuits in and outside the Netherlands.

Racing is expensive, that doesn’t matter because a hobby is allowed to cost money! However, help is always welcome in money and materials for people who like to help me and the Volvo 360 and find it cool to have their name on my car.

For those people I have the Club 50 on my trunk lid shaped like a brick wall. Friends and fans can donate 50 EUR/65 USD to help me and get their name seen on many circuit. Because for the support I put your name in a beautifully cut sticker on the trunk! Your name will be in cut in dark blue color so they are all clearly visible.
If 50 euros is too much you may still donate a smaller amount, its very welcome! However, only people who pay 50 EUR/65 USD will be put on the car.

For more info, pics and video's go to www.brick-autosport.com or like the facebook page and get the latest updates!
