I spoke to Des a week or two ago, and the thinking is indeed that the 300 series is very well catered for here, so there's not much point in diluting it. The 300 series section of the VOC forum was rather like that. Anything particularly in depth got referred here anyway, and it was just another forum to check. Reciprocal links would be a good idea.

I agree that for general 300 stuffs we have all the info and people right here - its just a nice idea not to be forgotten with respect to volvos in general

Not only not to be forgotten, but to share projects and stuff. I've just got into a "for the good of the community" idea of late, theres sooooo much knowledge, it should be shared, not split. We do overlap a lot more than people think.

shame about the mess with the VOC forums. I agree the forums grew rapidly and it did appear to be one of the biggest and most frequented forums. Nice number of people logging in and lots of ideas and opinions. I hope things can be sorted soon and would very much hope that the archive conversations (with those troublesome ones deleted) will be available on the new forums as this data represents a fantastic archive of information.
I've often found info using the search of previous conversations rather than asking on a fresh post. This archive is akin to archives of previous technical drivers (we can see what concerns people had when their 340 was 1 month old etc!!) and do hope the archives make a come back with the new forum
