That's the low-ratio hold switch. Do not operate above 30mph.

The actually kickdown switch is part of the throttle cable wiring...So when you go full-throttle, then just past it, it down-shifts.

nope, no problem with operating it above 30mph even though the flyer instructed it

it is the exact same circuit as the kickdown switch from the throttle cable and the brake pressure swith at the master cylinder

I managed to hit the low ratio hold switch by accident once, or maybe twice, when going for the bidet switch. Didn't seem to do any harm, but I did wonder why the engine was sreaming its titties off at 60ish. :o

Ok, had a hunt round the pipes this morning.
=Nothing untoward.

Checked coolant.
= Level stable and fine.

Drove ten miles to work.
= No issues.

Hmmmmmmm.
Blockage thats worked itself through?

It's nice when things sort themselves out lol!

Although for peace of mind if your unsure of the age of the thermostat i'd look into replacing it anyway for how cheap and easy to replace they are dude :) Either way, good news!

Fitted the Roofrock sm82 today. very pleased with the result.
Also slightly modded grille action. (black slash instead of snapped slash)
