Look's amazing i think!, the stripe really looks good and works well with the yellow, you have had that car for such a long time MCHUDD and now it look's fresh as anything there will be some years motoring left to do in a one off, 5 speed, stripey, louvred 345.
it's a legendary car no doubt, classic car show winning status easily i would say. I'm so glad because it could'nt be owned by a more genuine guy!!.

Hi Lads.
Thanks for all the nice complements on the car.
It was a bit of work getting the gear box sorted as i am not a machanic
but it was worth it. Finding a 1970s volvo ambient temp gauge was a stoke of luck
as its a 343/5 one.
Cheers Mark.

Just a short updare on the Na na Bannana.
She past her N.Ireland MOT and will be on the road as a daily next week.
MOTs here are difficult here so i am well pleased.
Cheers Mark.

They're easy compared to a NCT (especailly if you forget to leave the 100 yoyos in the ashtray)

Hi Rich.
100 of those yoyos wouldn't get very far down there
I was down in Dublin in June for a Bon jovi gig and it was 12 yoyos for two drinks
Cost me a bloody fortune getting pissed
Cheers Mark.

€6 a drink?

I grumble LOTS paying €4.40 and I think the most I've paid is about €5.20 for a pint. Suppose it's even worse from your point of view with the exchange rate.
(Here the link to the
Indo about the NCT testers.)

Good news! Took my Mk1 for a blast through the Ahr Valley this afternoon and loved every second of it.
Glad everything's going well ...

Hi Rich.
That was interesting reading. It would probably be difficult to get away with that up here
as everything is electronic. I was visiting my sister in law in Old Windsor last year and there
was a garage at the end of her road that advertised an MOT WHILE YOU WAIT.
We have to apply weeks in advance and then take the car to a special center
Cheers Mark.

I think I know the one. Was it
THIS ONE (Google Streeview linky)? I used to go through Old Windsor every day on my way from Staines to Windsor.

Same as here in the South, just imaging the racket it would be if done by the garages...

Advantage for me is the pre-1980 exemption

Her road is the one that the two blokes in the high vis vests are on.
Cheers Mark.
