One more for the list, are the more commonly spotted Polux alloys from the 480's.

Cheers Adam, no rush, but it's an interesting set of rims. Speaking to Mick earlier after his return from holiday, he's not too keen on these due to the rather large central disc, not enough spoke for his liking. We still think they'd be good for a 300 though.

Pete

I got a tad confused there, thought Dai may have had the Taurus, but they are the Avior, the Taurus were on special 480's correct, such as the GT? No, not seen them on a 300 mate.

Ok, Yeh thats why i dont want a set for mine, i prefer spokes!! No not the GT, the GT only had the multispoke BBS Style Rims, the Taurus were an optional extra on the late 480's, Were as standard on the very late 480 Turbo's and on the Special edition model, the late two tone, Peacock green over grey mettallic!!

Nice work on finding that picture Rupert... interesting specifications, it seems alot of 400 alloys were 5.5" wide, only a few being 6" wide... I noticed that my Anteres were :)

Must say those pictors do look good, they were on a 300 sold on Ebay a little while back, a green 360 GLE hatch iirc. They were more common on GS spec 400's tbh (or so I seem to think) if you find one in a scrappy or salvage yard. They're nice and of course different to everyone elses styles so far. They've just got that little play on the Foggy style of the Canis to keep them seperate.

Are you sure about the Vesa's being the only GT style, as in my quest for finding Vesa's I came across a lot of GT's with Taurus alloys. You are very knowledgeable with Volvo's in general, so I'm not really questioning you mate, just a little confused now! I agree with all the other models you say they came on, like the two tone ones.

It looks like there were other styles of GT alloys:

Could be although the spec may have differed from that of a UK model, as i have never seen a GT on anything standard other than the multi spokes? sm14
