125+ mph (the speedo runs out at 120, so I'm not sure exactly what it was...)....new record for a B200K! It actually felt amazingly stable. On my private test track, of course...
cheers

That's stock. Ok.....so it was down a BIG hill, and with a lot of weight on board....so gravity helped a lot!
Even so, I can get 110+ (on the speedo) on the flat....but it takes its time getting there.
cheers

BIIIIIG bump.
Apologies for the blur...I didn't want to set off the flash and blind myself!
Took that a few weeks ago on a night session at the private test track. I never quite believed Kev Strong when he said a GLT is geared for 154mph (when revved hard), but I believe it now....125-130 at somewhere between 5000-5500rpm (heck, I wasn't watching that much.
cheers

That looks like you went off the scale!
130mph = 210km/h... very nice!

Your speedo must be over reading..................

I haven't re-done the calibration since the driving computer lost its memory...so I don't know how accurate the speedo is up there. I still must have been doing over 120mph in real terms.
cheers

1st - 40kph
2nd -80kph
3rd - 120kph
4th - 170kph
5th - 200kph??? more???
Wouldnt your 5th gear have a lower top speed?? or have you changed the ratios, those speeds listed look about the same as mine stock though (not that ive gone to 170).

If you would have enough power max speed would be 240kph with 360 GL differential, GLT can't go as fast because different differential ratio.
Also at that speed rpm limiter start to kicks in.
No, I have not so much power or long enough straight in closed private area.
My car top speed is around 180kph@4th and it requires 1,8km to accelerate to that speed. Stupid program that evaluates acceleration and speed is not using 5th gear for that calculation for some reason.
Here is my speeds with different gears @rpm limiter
1st gear = 52kph
2nd gear = 91kph
3rd gear = 143kph
Differential is 3,36:1 gearbox is M47R (1988 model)

I think the 155mph figure kev quoted was at 7000rpm+....and obviously not with a stock B200E

I wouldn't like to put in terms of Kph, but I was at ~130 with 1000rpm still to go. I doubt I'd get much further due to power / aerodynamics, but in theory...
cheers
