What is the diffrent between R5 Turbo 2 and the R5 GT Turbo? Are the based on the b14 engine and did it come with fuel injections in the late models?
Love b14 turbo! Smal engine, lots of power.

as I see it there still is enough room for a airhose to pass from the left to the right. then you would not need to move the battery.

Hi there Frits!
Now it's broken.. It started to smoke like hell came up from earth and i had to screw it down to see what caused the problem. While the cylinderhead is open am i going to du some work with the mainfold, exhaust channels and lower the compression a bit.
Well, well.. Now the snow is gone and i have least 6months to make it run again but it wold be nice with some summer driving too..
Work on maan!

@ mefistofeles: Me too, little weight, possibel for big power. Haven't been looking for informtation about the turbo 2 yet. I want megasquirt (or something like that) on it later. I think it is good possible to get huge power out of the b14.
@ Antiekeradio: Yeah i know, but i don't know yet or i want a long airintake to the turbo..
@ ale: You can't mean it! Make sure what it destroyed, or you will found the same problem after you replaced all. Use a wideband to tune youre carburettor. And get yourself a Renix 209

Buy a set of low compression piston set. In Holland here they aren't very expensive. (Or get looking for a complete GTT engine!)
cheers

Hi Frits!
Low comp pistons.. were do i find those cheep ones? Homepage..?
In Sweden the GTT parts is not growing on trees and neither is the car so it's hard to find anything here, and if, they are expensive.
B14 is power in a little packet. ( with a little help...)

I don't have new pics... but, I am a bit further again.
Fitted the side/front screens, bumper, headlights and the bonnet.. I amazed me a bit, because I thought the bonnent would't close with that GTT carb. But it can, so thats nice. No need for dirty air"intakes" or something.
About one and a halve month I will go for MOT.. So already checked all electronics, everything is ok.
Hopefully the oilcooler, pipes, airfilter, and oilthermostat will be quick here. Made a nice order at a dutch company

I finnished them all, this week searching for little bended pipes for the manifold. I wanna finnish it!
The oilcooler, oillines, thermostat, airfilter etc order will arrive later then expected.. One part is on backorder....
Comming weeks a lot of time for the 343! Colleges at school are finished.. priority is making this car drive with MOT... Than the MOT of the 340.

Love b14 turbo! Smal engine, lots of power.
The mid engined R5s (R5 Turbo, R5 Turbo 2, R5 Maxi Turbo) ran fuel injection but the MAIN difference was a totally different head.
A crossflow head, like a Renault 5 Gordini Turbos.
Can be fitted to the GTT engines, has been done many times.
Normal GTT head can flow over 300bhp though, do dont worry too much, lots of other things break before you get to the heads limit, lol.
Stock crank and rods etc are good for over 250bhp though, they not shy.

The manifold is ready (can't see on the pictures)
And yes, my welding is very bad

The oilcooler and the rest of the stuff is probably arrived, this weekend I'll get it.
