A fair few non UK spec GLT's exist without colour coded bumpers, alloys, electric windows etc... then they have aircon!? Very strange specifications!

That '60 looks pretty tasty without a number plate - it gives me an idea!

It also looks clean because 360s are normally painted black there. Nessy is bodycoloured with the same behind the plate and it looks nice...but then I also like the black!

Already thought of that and suggested it to Steve a while back, smooth it off and stick the numberplate on the bumper below, not sure how "right" it'd look though

If the smoothing plate was welded flush with the hatch/lights and painted up properly - and the new plate (square one?) was recessed properly...

You used to be able to buy recessed no. plate holders complete with lighting for golfs and the like which would give a pro finish

you used to be able to get a reflective panel that mounted between the rear lights then you relocated the number plate lower down on the bumper or below , dont forget whatever you do the rear number plate must be lit at night

I think the smoothed look/reflector where the plate is could be a good look, but then the relocation of the number plate to elsewhere would never look good...

I did have the offer of one of those reflective panels for the 300 once (the kind that came on some limited edition 205 GTI's, made a complete reflective red bit all the way between the lights) but I passed it up.

Still not sure if I like the look, but can never properly tell until you see it in the flesh. Not sure how a body colour panel would look, only one way to find out!

There are pictures of a 300 saloon which has had that patch 'custom filled' too.

there was a reflector plate available at some point to fill that gap, and you moved the num plate somewhere else

Is it a bit early in the morning Hugh? That's what the last few posts have been talking about ;) It's definitely a bit early for me still...
