I have been chatting and pestering Dai quite a lot recently, asking about how I can get this car to handle a bit better.
I had a volvo 340 with blocks and cut springs on standard dampers before and although it was a hoot to drive in the dry, it felt bouncy over some bumps, and I was looking for something that would be a little less uncertain when cornering

.
So I have ended up buying a full set of dampers all round, a 2" set of blocks for the rear and a pair of 3" lowering springs @ 100% stiffer for the front.
This I believe is de rigeur for vastly improving the handling.
Dai also mentioned I should check out my front strut top mounts by giving them a bounce, so I did and this is what I found on one of them:
So this means I, of course,
have to buy his top mounts, and while I am at it basically a full set of poly bushes and ARB linkages!
But this is all going to take a while to implement, and I have not got a clue, so please bear with me while I sort it all out. I have a load of mates with garages who can help me out. so we will see what happens!
Oh, and after that I am thinking of an engine transplant but not any the usual ones!!!!!!

Cheers Bud,
Its not the best example, there are a few blemishes in the paintwork, and a bit of rust here and there, but it is my pride and joy and I take care of it!

You'd be surprised, even with some blemishes that certainly looks like one of the nicest 3 door Mk2 GLT's I've seen for a while - especially rare being an 83

The 340 GL '83. Got this car for free! Failed on MOT...Got it thrue MOT really easy. Engine died a couples of miles ago saidly(heavy rumble, but still runs ok)...Needs to be replaced.
