can't be the same one. Mine was sold to an Austrian lad. He flew over and then drove it back. Took him four days, but it got him there.

Interesting choice for a first car, what attracted you to it? I mean, I can totally see the attraction, and I love me some old brit stuff, but why in particular the oxford?

Me and Pops decided we wanted a project to do together.
Needed to be cheap and local like.
The oxford went unsold on Egay with a start of 750 and it was in Ashington.
Got in touch with the lad and with a bit of haggling got it for 400. When we looked it over, it was rock solid. Needed points, plugs, condenser, breaks refurb, fuel pump and and a service and it went straight through the mot. Some project eh?
Listed it on carandclassic to test the water and got a 1600 offer.
Deal.
Bye bye, on to the next one.
winter meant no more projects for a while, so im satisfied rolling in my eighty five for the time being. At least the heater works.

Zoicks! Nice turnaround. Aye the plastic crap they stick on the hindustans is hideous, but it must be possible to retrofit the morris brightwork etc. However it would work out more expensive than a real one so there's no point

That picture has been around for years...does it still have the graphics on it?
Is drive getting to the box when in neutral? (Noise / Vibration from the torque tube / box).
If not...it's probably the link between the TT and box.
cheers
James

Gidday, I put some new pics on my other post yesterday.
When in any gear there is nothing at all , no noise, vibrations, makes me think maybe it's the gear selector or lever .
Like it's not even in gear, I'll chuck it up on a hoist when I get time, cheers.
