For the ultimate French touch, try some La Poste stickers and remove the rear seats. However, I forgot: the French touch would require this car to be a diesel. And it'd need an ashtray full of spent Gauloises

That one is Estonia post car, but only difference is number plate and post logo, that is made in Finland, even motor is 6,6 litre made by Valmet in Finland, transmission is Allison automatic so that is not made here, but rest is pretty much made in here, even we don't have much of car industry.
At that time Post was government office and there were rules that there should be certain % of finnish made as it was part of plan how to give everyone some work, so that is why we had lot of Saab cars as it was only car made in Finland and as police, army and all govermental offices were required to have certain % of home made in everything they bought it was more or less direct arrangement to give sales to certain manufacturers.

Is exactly where our country went wrong. The Routemaster, a great British design classic. I tell you what would be an amazing idea Perkins, why don't we double the length of it so therfore taking up twice as much road space for equal passengers and rather than make them in our country we shall out source them to Mercedes? Is just one example of properly poor management by the UK Goverment, if you can do it abroad why not here?
It's a stupid idea to import stuff from other countrys just because it's cheaper. All it does is mean we loose our own manufacturing industrys for a quick buck, eventually the "cheaper" countrys will go "Oh sorry can't you make thing anymore? In that case then we will charge you double" etc etc.

Pointless rant but just felt the need to vent that

We've lost manufacturing but almost everything is designed here in the UK now. It's the development of industry, goes from primary and secondary to tertiary. Most manufacturing is still owned by many UK companies, it's just outsourced to the max. Where there are no trade links there are business deals so can we not do the "this country is f*cked" conversation?

I mean it is, just not for this reason.
