So, I did open EMV restrictor cap, where I found were shooting spring, I could not find adjustment screw anywhere there however, maybe it flew off too, is that even possible?

However I would think so as there is no screw and when I put it back together it is only 100mbar now, I'm sure nothing is broken and I did use sealant to make sure cap is sealed when on place, but still not enough pressure, so I presume that screw is something that is between spring and diagraph and shot somewhere I could not find it, must search more.

I believe that it is not too big task to adjust it so that I get correct amount of vacuum, however I'm out of quick glue so need to source that first.

Another thing, gearup side is activated, but only with very low throttle, I doubt that it gets activated very easily when driving, certainly not when accelerating. I don't remember reading that it would had vacuum sensing part, only rpm and those three switches that make kickdown side activated.

I believe that I have missed something?

I did also put some paint to car, even weather was bit cold for that, but rust at lower corner of windshield was something that I had to cover so that changing temps of this spring time would not make it worse, so I sanded it clean and put zink and rost primer to it, still needs proper paint, but it is now covered for now, until weather gets better.

Sadly I managed to damage windshield rubber even I did put tape to protect it, clumsy hands of mine....

Just note that it does indeed still need proper fix, which includes removing windshield, but that is not possible until summer, so it is just to keep it from getting worse as at this time of year it is getting snow, water etc bit too much.

The screw is under the wax / crud / sealant circled on the front side of the 4-way vacuum valve, just above the big stub.

Thx, that pic helps a lot :)

A-ha. so I would not needed to open other side at all for making adjustment then, well, it was rather oily under the cap, so maybe not so horrible to open anyway.

I need to play with that screw then.

I noticed diagraph had 4 holes and center of it blocks another hole, I suspect that if I turn screw more inwards it gives more pressure as then that one hole stays open longer/more?

Must be that cap was leaking a bit when I tested only 100mbar after opening then, it is not really that complicated part, just needs to have tight everywhere or there will be problems.

Changing that spring probably then affects to how it does gear up too as it should change how much vacuum there is going to be, must source spare spring if current one is no longer as good as what it was when new.

Need to get glue next week, and if I get EMV to operate within specs, I think that it should accelerate properly.

Oh there is also something wrong near waterpump, I smell coolant and saw some steam coming there, might be time to replace waterpump, bah even more costs, surely it is not bad now and should not interfere with MOT, but something that needs to be done. MOT runs out next week, french crap runs out of MOT less than two weeks from there, it will take still 200 or so to get french crap MOT'ed, for 343 should be around 50 + water pump later.

Petrol here is 1.8€/l though...

I did found spray glue bottle and used that to glue cap on place, but it really refused to stick, then I cleaned surfaces better and tried again, but stupid clamp refused to work so I bend it to U-shape and got bit heavier equipment to keep cap on place, might take a while until glue dries up, 2 hours was too short time at least last time, so I let it sit few days, maybe that should help to get it stick, or then I need some plastic glue/super glue.

However I think that gluing is very wrong way to attach anything that has spring, only screw should be used with such pieces, so my judgement is that EMV is poor design because of that

Should move 343 to car tent as snow is promised for a night, but there is bit of problem with that as there is no EMV, maybe bolt to vacuum pipe would work.
