Cool, same sender as the B14 then

(And prolly the B172, but you don't buy senders for them!)

New gauges and senders etc just are not worth me getting into. A lot of ppl like to stick to a brand or just the very cheapest.
Good thought and info needs to be available freely.

as mentioned in another thread how about a range of spigot rings using the centre bore diameter of the 300 and a range of outer diameters to suit vauxhall, vw and other cars with 4x100 stud pattern

thought of more things (some maybe not possible) but im still thinking of the ITB setup using bike ITB's for the glt's or anything else with injection?
how much power you think is possible from a glt with ITB's, MS, K cam, and exhaust sytem?
also cam regrinds possibly?
5-stud conversion?
carbon fibre/grp panels?
steering wheel boss? --> now thats a good idea!
headlight conversion to something like an e30? or something with round lights...?
turbo conversion for 360's? (on the cheap of course)
a front lip/splitter like an ae86?
is there a 16v head available for the 2 litre? make one? lol

Can anyone explain the appeal of headlight conversions? The only square-round headlamp conversions I've seen that work are those for cars that were originally designed to have round lamps, such as MKII Escorts.

Pimp can already provide grp bonnets.
There are already steering bosses available from various sources, although availability is difficult.
I've sometimes though dual headlights would be cool, but there's no way anyone will make up a kit, it just wouldn't sell well enough. By all means go ahead yourself when you get a 300, and write up a step by step tutorial.
Front splitters are cool, but everyone has different tastes, so probably better to raid the scrapyard and make up your own based on what you can find
Yes there is a 16v head for redblocks from one of the larger Volvo's, which could be fitted to a 360 engine. I'm not sure about connecting up intake and exhaust though
EDIT: Nick I do think dual headlights on cars such as old BMW's look cool, but not sure how they'd look on a 300. You'd probably have to alter the grill and things to get the proportion look right. It would make it very un-Volvo though...

Also there's not much point with the turbo conversion parts, because all parts are already available from bigger Volvos..

My point exactly, the older BM's were designed to have them...

Cos standard 300 series headlights are crap!... if I were to do anything further, I'd like to keep the square overall casing look though...

I can get regrings done - let me know what you want.
I already have a manifold available for fitting TB's or webbers - this could be adapted to take bike carbs if you so wished.
The 5 stud conversion is something I have considered doing complete as a brake upgrade but imagine would not be popular?????
Carbon / GRP pannels may well be something to look into during the summer - I need to seek out some of my contacts from my old laminating days.
I may well get in a number of bosses to make this simple for ppl as the supply is a little short.
Headlight conversion - not for me this one. Perhaps some bits to improve them though - a little brighter
360 turbo conversion - the only thing needed is a manifold (if you dont use the 7 series one) and a complete exhaust both of which are up for discussion in other topics.
The 16 valve head is available as already metioned - I would not have the finaces for such a big project if it were not already available.
Cheers

hmm yes i can see your point about the round lights.
define redblock please?
also, if classicswede did make steering wheel bosses, it would save a lot of time trying to find one that fits properly and one that doesnt take years to arrive (from what ive read). i reckon it would be cheaper than anything else on the market if a few people wanted some of them? and theyre not exactly hard to make either if you have the right tools...

I ordered my Luisi boss kit (6-bolt Momo pattern) from the nearest parts shop and it arrived at the same day.

Wholesale dealer had those in stock so shop got it at the same day. I would think that even if the wholesale dealer wouldn't have had those, it wouldn't have taken too many days untill it would've arrived. Cost was ~45€
Volvo's own 8 and 16V engines, B18,B20, B30 (ohv, and not the 400-series B20 but ones used in amazons etc..) and B19,B21,B23,B200,B230,B234 etc... (OHC, DOHC engines) are redblock engines. Name comes, surprise surprise, from the red color of the block.

I would probably just buy a number of them in just to make it easy for everyone.
