hehe thx :D

unfortunatly for you i'm not selling this one.. if i do the x-flow engine that will go into this car; and the current engine into my other 340.

however i'm doubting that for a next project; 360 2.3 B230FT also sounds really good to me; or maybe i'll try one of my dream cars who knows..

after this morning i fixed allmost every leak; just drops because of the all new hoses; the clamps need to "set" in the hose.
Image

only thing left was the oil leak at the sump; since welding didn't close it off entirely i choose a more dramatic temporary solution since i hate oil puddles under a car..

Image

that's liquid gasket; looks like shit but if it stops the leak for now i'm happy; wont be driving it too much anyway before the exhaust is tackled. will try and get the new sump done and powdercoated very soon; for now that's top priority

also interior is coming together a bit more:

the switches ARE functional :D except for the one on the right; that's for rigid diff; i think i'll replace that switch to a checkup light with that symbol though.

also a job for this week; cleaning entire interior as you can see above; and cleaning and conditioning the leather :D

injured my left hand friday between 2 fingers with big risk of a infection :( so i have to watch out with what work i'm doing for the next few days untill that heals. luckaly it's my left hand and with the 2 fingers taped together so the wound won't rip open i can actually still do a lot..

so today i got to work with the leather in a 2 step proces:

as seen on the upper pic; it was very neccesary; it's like new by now.

interior cleaning is next, monday or tuesday evening.

Very nice condition leather! But I would consider something more supportive for the front seats? I always found you slide around way too much on the leather compared to the standard cloth :(

- full leather interior incl rear head rests
-- still have to buy a set of sparco chrono road seats with 5point harness
it's on the to-buy list a long time and i've been saving money for it for a few months. but 2 of those chairs and 2 good harnesses simply cost 1500 euro's. they are practically the best "reasonable" prised and top quality chairs money can buy, and because these are reclinable seats the backseat is still fully available.

the few miles i've driven and the few drifts i allready did made me realise i definatly need a chair like that, i did got tossed around in the car.. good thing my suede sparco steering wheel is so extremely grippy, something to hang on to :D

i'm planning on making a support for the harness with the backseat down or maybe a support at the C-style mounting holes. if passengers need to go on the backseat, simply click the 5point harness loose and use the original 3pointer. dutch highway camera can detect if you're wearing your seatbelt by the piece of belt that goes from the B-style to the seat so if i clip the original harness in behind the seat i can still have full use of the 5point harness without getting tickets

note subtile striping on the bonnet; goes all the way around the raised piece :)

and i also have a new remote controlled toy wich arrived today:

gonna try to test fit it tonight and see wat exhaust damper will be needed for the silent side of the exhaust; i hope i can keep it as a sidepipe considering future plans but that depends on where the Y-piece is gonna be placed..

and it's back to the house again at last! :D

and when i parked him a police bus parked behind me, 3 man strong got out of the car and made a comment about the exhaust being way too loud; had a little chat with them and they even looked at the engine, got a few nice compliments about it. since i'm planning to do something about the exhaust asap i didn't get a ticket or anything since i could prove i was busy with a decent (low noise) exhaust :D

i made a new to-do list at the v3c forum but i'm a bit lazy so not yet ready to translate it in english ans post it here; i'm going back tot the shed for a few parts now.

so; now the english version

top priority:
- new leakfree sump, powdercoated in the same red color as it is now offcourse
- silent exhaust + loud exhaust seperated by the Y-piece from pics above

after that some other things wich will definatly be finished this year:
- strip exterior of logo's, badges, stripings, stickers etc.
- place glt grille
- place rear glt spoiler
- place glt-turbo frontspoiler (custom creation; still have to fabricate it)
- reliable set of gauges on top of dashboard
- replace various parts in interior (switches etc) and place radio
- placing the sparco windscreen streamer
- uprated propshaft

some other things wich won't be finished this year but what i will start on this year:
- modded headlights
- rear disk conversion with full hydraulic brakes and fly-off handbrake, and offcourse as much parts as possible powdercoated!
- big brake kit on the front with coilover converion + adjustable topmounts.

something else that belongs on the "next year" list wich will be the hardest; relocating fuel tank and spare tire. the spare won't be placed in engine room (no room + looks not gooed) or in the boot (need the whole boot for my audio installation), leaves only 1 place. behind the rear axle, but on 340 there's a fuel tank sitting there.. that will be removed and those original 4 mounting points will be turned into mounting points for the spare tire rack/case/box; don't know what i'm gonna fabricate there yet..

then, where will the fuel tank go?, i thougt of putting a 360 fuel tank under it but with 340 gearbox mounts that is impossible, i can't leave the front mount away because that will cause too much stress on the propshaft. so; fabricating custom gas tanks 360 style it is. on the left + right of the gearbox, i hope that will give me room for at least 40 litres of petrol, but it'll probably be a much bigger capacity since there's loads of room.

after that; undercarriage is pretty much sorted so far, i'm very happy with the current springs/damper setup and the polybushes, the car handles top quality!

haha not driving it at the moment because of the too loud exhaust, so took out the steering wheel and electronically immobilised it completely.

not even a guy with loads of v300 OR 5gt turbo knowledge will be able to start this beast now
