can i use parts from a 1.7 to put on a 1.8 16v

hi guys,

i picked up a 1.8 16v 340 today but it needs finishing off does anyone know if the water pump alternator etc will fit from the 1.7 engine onto the 1.8 RENAULT engine i have heard people say only things u need is loom and manifold inlet outlet sump etc its just volvo 340 parts are cheaper

I know you need an uprated alternator to cope with the power the engine draws. Perhaps one from a 440? Waterpump; I can't see why it would be a problem to use the standard pump but I'll have to get someone else to confirm that.

Waterpumps are the same, my one spent 6 weeks on my 1.7 and forever since on the F7R
