Fuel pump fittings Q

What type of fitting is required to allow 8mm ID fuel hose to fit over the bottom outlet of a pump like this? Dunking 8mm hose in boiling water isn't up to the job.

The raised lip is just a shade too large for the pipe, is there an adaptor from 9/8.5mm down to 7.5/8mm or something?
I guess I could hacksaw the lip off lol. There must be a better way though?

don't saw it off! that lip is very important, it secures the hose after it's clamped so it won't blow off.

try a bit of vaseline or green soap in the hose.

lol. I wasn't really gong to saw it, but the fuel hose was less than happy about fitting over it. I have new Sytec high pressure hose on the way, so hopefully the better stuff will be more up to the fit!

Cheers dude.

I have some reducer fittings somewhere, try vehicle wiring products (Andy Pettaw ordered them for me... think it was from there!)
