300 steering wheel?

Post by L14MNP »

I know a lot of you like your optional extras, particuarly steering wheels, so what do you make of this illustration?

Just noticed it when flicking through for info earlier on. I don't think I've seen one that looks like it shown on here. Or is it not even a V300? I thought the dash may be an early mk1 but tbh I have no idea lol.

It comes from here which was supplied new with the car in 1984

A superior source of wiring diagram, over the Haynes that I mislaid until today.

/A bored post whilst I wait for the match to start!

My 300 knowledge is weak lol.

Which motor did you get the manual out of Ben? This one has 'A244 AJR 1/2/1984 J.E Rutter' on the front cover and must remain with the original machine.

You can keep your "pics of your lowness" threads, there's nothing like a nerdy "when was this plastic grommet discontinued?" discussion to get trabitom salivating ;-)

That's a DAF-style wheel, standard fare on the equally ugly '76 - '77 brown dash. When the "Volvo-style" dash came out in '78, it was replaced with a four-spoke job but the old three-spoke style soldiered on in some basic "L" versions for another year or so.

Good job a "northeast meet" is too far for me, I'd bore you all to tears :-)

Cheers

Tom
