Can't believe I'm doing this but my 340 will be for sale in a couple of weeks. Really need to downsize the fleet and sort my finances out.

Spec is negotiable, I can build it various ways as it currently has no engine LOL, but this is how it will stand:

* Good solid shell with a few cosmetic defects but no structural rust. Inner sills have been repaired at the back with the rear jacking points deleted. Winscreen surround is now perfect, fixed a little surface rust there when changing the screen recently.
* 360 rear axle with the larger drums, 340 leaf springs and 2" lowering blocks. GLT driveshafts (slightly stronger).
* F7P 1.8 16v engine, running on dell'orto DHLA40 carbs, this setup was fantastic last time I had it and gave no running problems whatsoever.
* VGC gearbox with 3.82:1 diff for acceleration.
* Cut front springs with diff oil for more effective damping. Sounds pikey but it does work.
* Custom exhaust with cherry bomb centre box and early 360 backbox, good sound, meaty but rather quiet which helps the sleeper effect.
* Foam filled fuel tank, try finding another one of those!!!
* Black diamond grooved front discs and predator pads, will come filled with fresh fluid too.
* Slightly tatty but usable Mountney steering wheel on correct volvo boss.
* 100% working electrics, no duff lights or anything nasty like that.
* Brand new clutch.
* Standard GLT alloys with good tyres or for extra cash some black 13" genuine weller steels with nearly new rubber.
* Extensive rustproofing and cavity waxing carried out over the years, with most steel parts (gearbox crossmembers/suspension wishbones/tie bars/ spring cups) wire wheeled and painted with hammerite or stonechip paint. Zinc primer used for all welding, which was done by me, a qualified welder.

If carbs put you off I could fit the renault injection.
I'd be looking for offers around 1000quid.

Some pics of the car in its various incarnations:

305. 140hp 260lbft LOL. 2 barrel rochester carb. The strut top areas appear to be disintegrating badly but they may actually be easy to fix, I just dunno.

Sorry dude, need cash and space. If it doesn't fetch good money it can still be yours...
