Thermostat housing and gasket

So I need to use any gasket goo on this gasket or should it be self sealing with its fit?.....for a 360 GLT B200E engine

Housing doesn't have a gasket and doesn't need gasket goo but the thermostat it self should have a rubber/silicone seal ring around it. It should come with the thermostat.
