No price mentioned, but I said that if it is as good as he said (he said no rust, etc), he shouldn't expect to take less than £500. If it's really, really good, it's only fair to give him a few quid more.

Secondly, a 1990 'H' plate 340 GL
5 door (had to be at that age)

MOT to end of April. Lots of service history and docs.
Contact me if you want the guy's number (it was a letter, so I haven't asked if he's happy for it to publish it). Located in Gosport (i.e. near Portsmouth).
Again, no price mentioned. No advice, as I know nothing about condition.

Bump! Russ called again tonight.

His car sounds very nice. It is, however, out of MOT. It was parked circa 18 months ago due to being surplus to requirements (ran when parked...!), and has been dry stored, so in theory it should sail through an MOT. In theory.

He'd take £200 for it. He's running out of time, and wants a good home for it. It sounds like a really nice car, and he says it's rust-free. I'm willing to travel to inspect & take pics if you'll cover diesel / bridge toll costs.

Sounds like a good one. Any takers?

Only just saw this thread whilst trawling the sale section. I am very interested in the B reg car if it has not been sold already. James I have sent you a PM.

Sadly I didn't spot Alan's message...until tonight! It looks a bit suspicious, given that I'm going to pick the car up from Russ on a trailer tomorrow...but it was an honest error. I've had a chat with Alan tonight, and it's all good.

We're planning to MOT it and put it up for sale. Rupert *might* keep it. If it's as good as it sounds, it may well be at the 'going rate', but I'm sure a deal can be done for those we know Even collecting it is likely to add ~£100 to our costs.

I'm very tired but am I right in understanding it shall be in your possession James? If so and it's purely a business venture, I shall have to be kept informed. In fact I may not even require the M.O.T as I have off road parking available to me now... Make sure to let me know if your trying to move it on.

Yup, been meaning to update this for a couple of weeks...but other events (namely being burgled) have taken priority.

We picked it up a couple of weeks ago, and it will most likely be for sale in due course...but that's had to take a back seat for now. It's very nice in general, but needs welding to the sills. It's strange - the damage is very localised. The body is very, very clean, but the sills will need quite some work.

It's provisionally sold, but has yet to be paid for or collected. It needs sill repairs, so it's not ready for MOT.
