cant get 340 to run driving me crazy

cant get 340 to run driving me crazy

i havea 1.7 340 and having a nightmare getting it to run it will idle fine and full throttle is fine but anything inbetween the car jumps along the road like a kangaroo. i have just rebuilt the carb with new floats and set to correct height. any ideas i cant figure it out any help would be great
