if the f7p and f7r fits without too much hassle would a f4r say from a clio 172/182 fit as im guessing its sill the f series engine ???

It fits but not recommended because of the chain-driven oil pump, if I'm correct. Just go with the f7

There's a block on my driveway... housemate might get annoyed if I took it out his clio though

I'd be interested to see it done, Fake is dead level to the 182 as far as we've tried them, literally only pulling a meter or so on each other at different points. With the extra cam-ness the clio has much more noticeable kick around 4,5k, mine seems flatter on torque.
