Brake Dust Shields

Hi Chaps,
the front brake dust shields are very rotten on my 360, are these available from anywhere?
Also are they required to pass an MOT?

Don't know where you would get them apart from a scrappy but don't think they would be needed for a MOT, only without them the brake dust would get everywhere.

ive removed mine mate, aids brake cooling as you havnt got a metal sheild keeping heat in

I always thought they were there to stop so much grit/mud/water etc getting on the disc!

Probably not a problem without, my transit hasn't got any (but there again, the calipers are always caked in mud from the quarry, maybe could do with some on!).
My old car had them rusted away too, never used to be a problem at M.O.T. time.

Those are not available anymore but it's not that difficult to make your own from sheet metal as the shields in 300-series are completely flat and not dished. The outer lip is just rolled.
Though if you look modern cars, most don't have any break shields at front.

I threw mine out. lol
My mate just bought a 3 yeard old Civic on Tuesday, it has some funky rear shields! /Pointless info.
