Or perhaps they were disabled setup? More likely monkeys though

They were not very common probably in first place + it has probably been most wanted for rally/drift/whatever use once dispose later type of usage. Trying to find good MkII GLT with B19E motor which has Bosch ignition instead of renix is almost impossible now, it was made only 1984 (or was it 1983?), imo. However it is model I'm after really, just missing that 3k from my budget.

Thats shocking.I've been looking for a 3 door GLT mk2 for ages and not found anything yet.That explains it.It must be my age but i can remember when you saw them on the road all the time.

Trying to get 3 door is probably 10 year project
At least in here GLT was not very common, because here price on those days did really go up with trim level, it must have been really expensive car for such small car on those days as any top spec model was.
