Fuel consumption
I'd be very much interested to know what fuel consumption other people get out of their V300s.
A useful online tool I'm going to start feeding the info into is http://www.spritmonitor.de/en/. There is a feature for a "mileage icon", which can generate an icon, for a signature entry for example, showing your mpg or l/100km. There are a few V300s already up there, but how about a few more?
You can also make notes of other expenses too.

The last time I could afford to fill a tank, I got 35.61 Mpgs. (Standard B14.)
Been dribbling in by th £5 since then.
Gonna fill up on payday and do another tank calculation as the carb got leaned out at mot time (after last calc)
Re: Fuel consumption
The new arrival, on first impression, is pretty similar to my old manual in terms of FC...the Varios are supposedly more frugal but I'm hard pressed to tell the difference just at the minute.
I've yet to do any proper calculations.

Re: Fuel consumption
Best out of the 1.7 340 3 door was 38.75 mpg. More commonly 33-35mpg on a run, around 22-24mpg with a caravan!
Best out of the 360 GLS so far is 33.57 mpg. On a mixed run around 28-29, as low as 15 around town (cold engine short trips and a heavy foot to blame for that one I think!)
My old 343 vario was very poor, 33mpg at best on a run, more commonly 28 to 30, down to 19 mpg or worse around town. But then again a fivers worth of petrol would last me nearly a week at college in 1991

Re: Fuel consumption
I'm not joking.. thats the MPG I get. Done the trip twice, it's actually better MPG than that since I always have pretty much full reserve of 1 gallon left. I'm probably managing 51.4Mpg as shown in the manual - the mileage is the trip from bolton to minehead to bolton.

Re: Fuel consumption
@CBA it is good.
I have in the past put a 1.4 / 5 sp manual below 20 mpg (I think it was 15/16mpg)
, but in my defence, I was towing with it.

Re: Fuel consumption
I have had nearly 40mpg out of my 360 when on the motorway, but it can go as low as 20 on cold runs.

Re: Fuel consumption
Never had it that low, maybe in the worst of winter in traffic.
I do run 44 front, 40 rear PSI... that might help a bit.

Re: Fuel consumption
Cheers, I've got a 2nd tank in the Cit, and it's a bit better this time round as the sig images above show. Still quite poor for a 1222 though.
I'll put in some Volvo data soon. Keep a look out for a new sig when it happens.

Re: Fuel consumption
Another fill up for comparison.
100% city driving this tank.
288miles. 42.08 litres in=
31.11 mpg.
still not too bad.

Re: Fuel consumption
I don't have a handbook here handy, but here's one with a number of fuelings.

and this bloke must have been driving like a grandad, on a Sunday, behind a lorry and down a hill.

I'd expect somewhere between 8.0 to 11.3 l /100km
