Re: Lookie, cheap engine conversion?
F7P is a 1.8 and the Williams is an 2.0 F7R.T.J. wrote:So, the f7p isn't the same as the clio williams engine?
Re: Lookie, cheap engine conversion?
ok, scuse the noobness.. but apparently my car had the clio williams engine. So that makes it a 2.0? there wasn't a 1.8 version?

Re: Lookie, cheap engine conversion?
Nope. Although many will say the 1.8 is a Williams, it's not really. It's basically the same though, just smaller with a lot less torque.

Looking at some of Sam's posts it says F7P not F7R - i.e. this thread http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... f=8&t=1190T.J. wrote:Remember my car was once thhis one... http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 4&p=130513

Ah yes, if it was a 1.8 you'll now be arrested for false advertising. Please remain seated citizen, interceptors are on their way.T.J. wrote:Remember my car was once thhis one... http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 4&p=130513

Re: Lookie, cheap engine conversion?
Theres an easy way to find out.
Is the engine coade F7P or F7R?
1.8s are by no means "bad" dude. So dont be down on it.
Theres not a great deal of actual williams engines around.
