breaking a m2/volvo breaker

Post by sammysideways »

Ok i need a lot of body panels, ive tried on here and ALOT of my local scrappys and cant find a mk2 to be able to rob bits off and the one I did find the panels i needed were rotten, missing or dented.

So I need to ask if anybody knows any mk2's being broken OR if anyone knows a specalist who could help?

I need:

2 x Front anti roll bar cups that the bushes sit in
1x mk2 drivers wing OR pair of front wings if not mk 2
1 x Long slim body panel that sit above front bumper and below the grill
1x strengthning bar that sits under the roof between the b pillars.

Need some of these parts asap as there holding up the build a bit

I have a reasonable condition "slim" panel which I can bring at the weekend...£10? I forget the exact condition, but it's not rusty to the point that it's in two pieces yet!

The only differences between mk2 and mk3 wings are the holes for the indicator repeater (missing on mk3 - repeater in bumper) and mounting bracket for the "slim" panel (again, missing on mk3). Finding mk3 ones will be a lot easier...

cheers

Not easily (it's at the unit with the ARB), but I can bring it with me at the weekend...then you can see whether or not you want it. No obligation!

If I go MK3 wings does that mean I wont need a long slim panel? Or can i bodge the slim panel on there?

Basically if i go Mk 3 wings do i also need to use a mk3 bumper?
