Hi,

Does anyone know where you can buy replacement belts for the vario and possibly the internal seals. Also my pulley surfaces have small areas where the surface coating has corroded, probably caused due to the vehicle not being used for very long periods. Has anyone experienced this before and if so is there an effective way of repairing the surfaces. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks..

Low mileage and lack of use can usually be a pulley killer.

The best way is to find a good Vario unit with mint pulleys. Best you can do at present is to remove all the rough high spots so the sides of the belts don't get chewed-up.

Last I heard, Volvo were still doing belts, but somewhere over 200 quid a set. Not sure exactly how much as I got the quote in Euro. It's a bit late to ask, as I could of picked-up for you the requested rubbery bits the other day.

I'll send you a PM.

I can also supply them, at present the belts are either from Roulunds or ScanTech.
By special request I can also get hold of the Volvo Belts (200 euro landed on your doorstep in the UK).

Did you manage to get those door seals from Macplaxton? or do you still need them?

I'm just back this morning. I'll sort this out later after some sleep.
