Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone knoe how to remove the brake master cylinder from the reservoir? I've ordered a new cylinder, but it doesn't come with the reservoir and I can't see any circlips or anything. Does it just pull off :?

This is what it looks like...

Yes it just pulls off, easier done in the vehicle though. Can break the ends if you not careful.

Thank you - I'll give it a go tonight. Sounds like it might be a 'between the thighs' or a two person job :)

It turned out to be a one person (Dave) job between the thighs resulting in a slight thwack to the doobries upon separation sm18 sm18

I got the cylinder off Ebay for just under £40, but I think you can get the refurb kits for about £18 if the piston is good?
