Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does anyone knoe how to remove the brake master cylinder from the reservoir? I've ordered a new cylinder, but it doesn't come with the reservoir and I can't see any circlips or anything. Does it just pull off
This is what it looks like...

Yes it just pulls off, easier done in the vehicle though. Can break the ends if you not careful.

Thank you - I'll give it a go tonight. Sounds like it might be a 'between the thighs' or a two person job

It turned out to be a one person (Dave) job between the thighs resulting in a slight thwack to the doobries upon separation
I got the cylinder off Ebay for just under £40, but I think you can get the refurb kits for about £18 if the piston is good?

As long as you didn't break your end
