I headed down at the weekend (at last!) to Power Engineering to let Husky loose on my carbs.
Run one (idle circuit tuned, but main jets not set) yielded 95 bhp at the crank. At this point, Husky said he expected ~115bhp, which was a little less than we perhaps expected, although almost bang-on what Volvo claimed for this kit without the exhaust.
ahh its listed down the bottom.. is that at the engine, or at the wheels (or, at the wheels with a 'fluff' value for the transmission to work out the engine value?
It's at the crank, measured at the wheels with a "fluff figure", although it's automatic, and 'measured' by the dyno as it spins down. It's obviously not definitive, but it gives you an idea, and as long as I keep going back there, I'll get an idea of relative alterations.
Nice figures James , makes all that work worthwhile , nice to see the old place havent been there for about 15 years and when I did last go it was in a fiesta
Very nice, so that is with K-cam and dual carbs. So in theory I should have even bit more when tuned? (K-Cam and programmable fuel injection)
Or then throttle plate is too small....
Congrats from very nice looking car and of course from really good improvement to performance

Now look here my good man, I am not going to take insults from a Beige FWD French thing driver...............
Anyway, I'll pull away from him at 120mph+........

I expect you'll have a bit less...you said it there - throttle plate area is smaller. It'll be similar though - 130+ I guess...wahey, back to benchracing
