I've got a similar question. What sort of cam options do I have for the b19?

I was wondering if there was a difference in the 2.3s - lifting the valves up more to let more fuel/gases pass? Or were the valves made wider to compensate? Or not at all?
If not, fantastic
I think the K cams are the most aggressive

A commonly found A or V cam will be a good upgrade to the B19. The B19 also has a slightly more efficient cylinder head than the B200's... I think from memory its the 405 head rather than the 530 head. Bear in mind you'll have to adjust the carb to suit. Does yours definitely have a B19 speedy?

I'm 90% sure, I'll know when it's delivered tomorrow. Taken so long to get my hands on it!

Oops, sorry for hijacking your topic
Would I be right in saying the b200k has the H cam? Rings a bell. Better I get it wrong and someone correct me than no responce at all.

How about making your own cam? CAD model into a cnc milling machine to machine the exact profile.

B200K has either L- or Y-cam as stock and both of those are pretty much the worst cams Volvo came out with.
A-cam is a nice all-around cam, suits well with a turbo also. A-cam doesn't loose the low end, but still gives power quite nicely at the higher revs also. Then there are V (moves the powerband maybe a bit higher than A) and VX which are quite similiar. VX is a combination of V's intake-lobe and X's exhaust lobe. (X-cam is the stock cam in B230K, nothing special, V is better). VX3 is same as the VX but it's retarded 3 degrees.
D and K cams are the "hotter" options. K is a bit more "agressive". (In quotations as these are still stock cams).
H cam is the hottest of the stock cams.

So it's a B200K?
I'd just go for an A cam, very commonly available from any 360 injection I believe. Me and Ali had a race (my old saloon 4 door vs his slightly stripped 3 door 360 GLT with V Cam) and it was a totally dead heat from a rolling 20mph to the top of 3rd gear. Although that may be partially down to LE-Jet not liking the cam upgrade
Fuse has summed it up nicely

Good to know
But i wont change to the A-cam yet, kinda got a full technical on my car as cops like it so good, full technical means that they check if its any goes through the norwegian mot in 2 years from now, and im guessing no.
