Hi all, has anyone got a thin door strip like the below for sale? 5 door preferable but I could probably take a dremmel to a 3 door one if that's all you've got. Cheers!

I may well be able to help you out as I got some recently and all my cars are 3 door! Not sure about full sets however, I need to check exactly what I have before we get too exited!
What the hells happened to that car? The mirrors don't go with that front end

and that bumper looks like it's off a van!

Whaddayamean the mirrors don't go with that front end?
Okay, so the bumper is suspect and the wing indicator repeaters aren't original, but the wing badging and mirrors are okay for 82/83MY. (84MY> have the built-in mirrors.)

You are loving all these opportunities to bring out the MY instead of the mk's recently arn't you MP

It has highlighted (well, at least to me) why the "super beardies" never liked the usage of mk's.

Maybe, there's so many.
Mk's a okay as broad groupings, but say one bit doesn't go with another then it really boils down to what MY it is.

I'm only a real super beardy during winter

During summer, I pretend to be one.

Ah, lack of fill in strip above the bumper fooled me into thinking it's a Mk 3 front end (I could tell it's not by the quarter lights, rear air vents, mirror etc!). I was just having a momentary lapse of reason there

.
Edit: Bugger me........there is there filler strip, I'm really not concentrating! must just be the big bumper making it look odd, anyway it' a mess

and so was my comment

It's alright. You have plenty of time to grow that super beard yet

I haven't shaved in a week, but my beard still does not qualify me for entry into this club. Although thanks to you lot, I now know a lot more about these oddball machines than I ever thought possible.

Strangely enough I've just shaved off my super beard this week which had grown since the cold weather set in a couple of weeks ago. That must be why my 'knowledge of trim' super-power was diminished
Thin door strips to super beards....worst ever thread digression?

Not really when compared to those wheel trims on the car in the first pic.

Ah Helldriver, should probably mention that idealy I'd like them with chrome on, just noticed that it appears to be a GLS only thing. Don't worry if not, I'll still have it and probably spray over the chrome on the rear one, nobody will notice
