I need an axle, or maybe just the drive flange parts that have the 'centering collar' on the hubs - where the centre bore of the wheel sits.
Also need a standard column.

What you got?

Booting up the virtual machine here to see what VIDA says about those axles...

340 MY85-91 = 3208483 (3266548) - the one in brackets would be the superseded item
360 -MY85 = 3294693
360 MY86- = 3208484

Going back to the other thread, the 340 MY85 has one rear stub axle bearing set, the 360 MY85 has a different rear axle bearing set and then from 86MY, the 340/360 appears to use the same parts at the ends of the de Dion beam. (that is the stub axle, bearing housing and companion flange. Great word flange. sm40

Cheers chap! I can't check much, on phone atm. I reckon the axles are the same, and the parts are interchangeable from what I could see on the workshop info you posted up. Bet I would struggle to get just the parts I need though.

Not necessarily. ;)

What you doing with the column again? Chopping two to make one? (sorry I've been kinda following this, but was working nightshift last night, so might have lost the plot)

Cheers mate.
A winking emoticon... Got some axle spares lying around then Rich?

I want to straighten the column. Moving it across and lowering should be ok, but I want rid of the 'twist' the steering wheel has too. Only way to rid that angle (I believe) is to cut and shut the column using a universal joint.

Hey,

I might be able to help as I have complete driveshafts but I will be using only inner CV bits with half of a drive shaft.
When you come over with John, we talk about this then.

Cheers
Atchi

I wonder did my 83 360 have a replacement axle before I got it? Haynes says similar about 86 0n, but I had always assumed it was wrong.

Sorted with a donor column - cheers again John. 8)

Still looking for an axle, or the later stub axle bits.
