Anybody else had a problem ordering from classic swede?

Post by djntrap »

It appears i've been mugged!!
Ordered some bushes via email a few weeks ago and whoever I spoke to kept in good contact while I enquired about the parts, sent me an email address to send payment via paypal and as soon as I did, boom!! Zero contact.
1 week later, still no bushes so I sent a few polite emails and texts asking when I could roughly expect to receive them as I am pretty desperate for the parts but I have had no reply to any of my messages or texts but conveniently the £63 I sent them has been accepted and is cleared!
Has anyone else been "had"?
2 weeks for some bloody bushes is a bit stupid, I live in the midlands not the desert

You haven't been mugged.

Get on the blower to him and give him a nudge, sometimes he is quick and sometimes he is painfully slow.

Yup, cool it dude :) , DAI has kinda got this reputation. Always comes through with the parts but sometimes it can take agessss. Best thing to do is phone him up, pms/texts etc can be forgotten about, a phone call he responds too. I ordered some bushes, lowering blocks and bolts on the 4th of December last year. I kept sending pms etc but when i phoned him up, it turned out he had it all packaged up but they were just sitting in his house, he'd sent some other stuff off to other people thinking it was mine. Subsequently it all arrived a week later in the middle of January. Thomas............. :)

Tbf... I got bloody worried about a lot of money first time I ordered from Dai. FWIW, I rang him this afternoon, phone didn't answer but he's rung me back since as I have an order in atm too and I gave it a mention. I'm glad he's got in contact dude.

This is true and there's no denying that he's providing a lot to the 300-series enthusiasts, but if you look it at business wise that is a very bad way to run business. It is very disrespectful for customers.

I can't argue with the above. I wish there was a solution

The solution is for someone else to move in on his territory. I'd be willing to do such a thing for a bit of extra money on the side but... well I'd feel terrible. I'm not enough of an asshole to do business-asshole stuff.

I've ordered twice from Dai (once Ebay, once via email), and both times everything arrived on time and everything was fine. I'm sure it'll turn out OK in the end, just keep at it :-)

Cheers

Ah yeah, I'd also like to add the Dai has always offered excellent service to me :) Very prompt and helpful. I think it really depends on if there are problems with the orders.
