My latest troubles

Okay, so I was up the street the other day at the roundabout, waiting for another car to cross. And then all of a sudden my 360 engine just stopped. In the middle of the street (which is single lane by the way), with cars pooling up behind me, along with the school bus from the local school.

I tried turning it back on, but it just stalled again. I tried once more, applying some revvs to help it to start, and managed to flaw it around the roundabout. As I got up the next street, my 360 was bunny hopping until I pulled into my cousins driveway, which was luckily just one more turn. And then the engine cut stopped again as I was rolling in.

So now, we think there's a problem with the fuel regulator, because apparently the fuel pump didn't stop when I had pulled up, so we obviously disconnected the battery terminals so it wouldn't keep going. It's currently waiting in town to get fixed again (I've only just had the radiator fixed, as well as all these new parts put in as well). GRRRRR, I sure am sick of it breaking down every few months. I've always felt comfortable and loved driving my 360 until now.

Anyone else have trouble with theirs? Also, just outta curiosity, what would you do if you were in the same situation as me, except you couldn't get your vehicle to start? Get out and push? Cheers everyone :)

I'd get out and push. Been there and have done on numerous occasions

Last done when the fuel pump packed in. With added roofbox and trailer. Unassisted.

Get out and stand in the middle of the road scratching chin and looking thoughtful.
People behind will get pissed off and push you out of the way if you stand there long enough.

Don't loose your faith in the car mate.Just think of it as a learning experiance.Have a go at diagnosing it yourself. Its just a process of elimination.Get a manual and get stuck in man.The more you learn and fix yourself the easier it is next time and kinder on the wallet.Sounds like trouble with the fuel pump relay to me.A common fault.
Good luck.

Mine did this. The conentions on the feul pump were dodgy so it would just cut randomly but if you can hear the feul pump then it must be somewhere else in feul line

Keep at it though because it feels even better when its fixed

Okay thanks everybody :) I just got it back from the mechanic today and they said all they did was push the relay switch in more securely and she was right!!

Well woo. I drove it out of the garage and then first thing I notice is that when I stopped the car at the supermarket, after I'd turned it off and all, I could still hear the fuel pump going. Quick call to my dad, and I had to pop the hood and take the relay out (which stopped the pump) and push it back in. I've literally only had the car back for like an hour and I've had to do this a few times.

Any ideas? Thanks for putting up with me... :)

AFAIK the relay controls the fuel pump so I'd try and replace it, might solve it

We've called up a parts company who are currently looking to see if they can find a new relay :)

However, I'm starting to think that it might be something to do with the cables. Could this be possible? Because sometimes it DOES turn ofF with the engine, but sometimes it will just keep running. Cheers :)
