My first post here on v3m, my name is craig western and i live in kent. I have been involved in the drift scence for a few years now and most people may know me for owning precisiondriftclothing (now sold) and my current company ill-repute. i have been skidding jap cars and have only just bought my 1st ever volvo. A buddy of mine (sid) has skidded volvos for many years and talking to him has spured me on to try one out

I have just purchased a mint 21,000 miles from new volvo 340 1984 red, in the process of drop linking the rear, gaz coilovers all round, tons of stripping, clio cup engine, fully caged and should hopefully be a great build once completed. All work being completed by nev at drift moto

Just really to say hi and look forward to posting the progress pics on here as i go

Ello bud, and welcome! Sounds like a nice build. '84 is the same year as mine, great year! Get some pics up sharpish. Had a few PDC stickers on my car awhile back, good stuff!

It's great to see people like Nev putting a lot of effort into these things. I've chatted to him briefly about making a strut brace for mine once the coilovers are done, need to chat to him about a fibreglass bonnet too, and remind him of said strut brace.

There was a time i would have said, holy shit,don't do that to an 84 car. However, since becoming an Old Fart last year

What are you doing about the drivetrain?

Red 340? If so looked nice! Big worries over drivetrain issues. Definitely look into that and engine/box mountings.

Ive been a bit tied up with work, i wrap alot of the uk drift scenes cars do alot for bdc etc so been slack with getting pics up. In the mean time please take a look at my drift works build thread below

P.s i need nothing from the interior appart from the dash tbh, so i have all interor parts if it helps anyone? All absoutly mint condition as expected out of a 20k miles car. Mint carpet, door cards, roof lining, seats front and back, seat belts front and rear, original radio etc
