Fitting new injectors B200E

Post by kelvingenders »

Guys, Final job.....is this hard...are there any pitfalls or problems with doing this. My engine had done 218000Km, so this would seem reasonable to change these. Any advice when removing injector rail? :360:

I was given this advice when I was doing my headgasket and wanted to replace the o-rings:
pettaw wrote:I've never been brave/strong enough to just pull the injectors out of the manifold in one go. I've always unclipped them off the fuel rail first and then pulled them out of the manifold individually.
Never got round to doing it though, earlier i'd tried pulling the whole lot off in one but didn't want to force it so just left it. I will do it one day.

It should be fairly easy, they should wiggle free. I have never removed the ones on the volvo but my new summer job is working for an injectoin specailist, and I've removed a few so far. Im there to break a few cars he has so no questions about injection systems just yet :P

Removed and repaired. Found it easier to put injectors into holes in manifold. Lots of clicking action happening. Sounds great

Hy, if its ok for kelvin i`ll post my question here, i don`t want to create a new topic.
My injectors are fine i think sm1 (B200e) but-> but will i gain something if i`ll change them with a newer type (with 3,4 or i don`t know how many holes in the nozzle instead of one)? I`m thinking of smoother run, less emissions, i`m not after in HP. Has enyone done this?
