Throtle Linkage For Petrol engine 343 (1982)

My car has a Solex 32 SE1A carb.

The bit I want goes between the male ball joint on the carb. throttle actuating lever and the accelerator cable. From memory it's about 20 mm long by 10 mm wide. It has the female half of the ball joint (with quick release mechanism) on one end and a cable grippiing grub screw thingy on the other end. Between the two ends there is a flexible (ball?) joint.

I've searched the internet for hours and haven't seen anything remotely like it.

Anybody breaking a 343 out there?

Hi Peter,

I can't help you out with this part.

However, does it look like this?:

That throttle linkage pictured is on a MY82 RHD car (with a Weber 32 DIR)

The Solex carb you mention is wrong as the number one is actually the letter I for India. Might help if you Google 32 SEIA. ;)

There might be a similar linkage was used on Renaults of the same power unit / era. Maybe you might have some luck finding one on a Sierra / Cleon / C1E / 810 Renault engine unit?

Good luck

If it is like in the pic, I've seen a couple of adjustable ones in the scrapyard.

Thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately the Carb is a Solex as fitted to continental 343s. The car was imported to the Canaries from Germany originally.

The link in the photo is much too long. I'm still hoping that somebody out there has the bit I need!
