The seals are like rocking horse do-doo, as I'm sure you're aware. Sounds like a job for RJ's magical rubber man when he gets time to look at it!

I will have a look for bumper bolt covers when I'm next at the unit.

I heard a rumour you're also looking for part number 9995862...? I'm pretty sure I have a spare one of those.

cheers

James

If there is a rumour, I think it's for another for someone else.

Still available from the main stealers I believe, This time last year it was £49.68 + VAT.

(For those that don't know about this coded beardy speak - it the bloody great big offset socket for undoing the tops of front shocks. )

I have Mac's shock nut tool; borrowed in a panic.
I also have my own shock nut tool; discovered a few days later in a fit of embarrassment! sm56 sm56 sm56
Sadly I forgot to bring it with my to the national. I will return it shortly, complete with borrowed bearings, etc.

cheers

I see says the blind man

I have a shock nut tool tool, but I know where it is, don't need to borrow one in a panic or return a borrowed one to Mac. :D

Hi Mac,

did you ever get hold of those bumper bolt covers? I kept the ones from my GLi which you're welcome to have if you haven't found any yet.

About the weather strips, I just posted this in another thread:
trabitom99 wrote:It's also worth searching for the part number on Google, every now and then an online shop turns up, which claims to have it in stock. It doesn't always work out ... but you could give these guys a try:

I'd be very surprised if they were able to get hold of them though ...
... although I'm a bit pessimistic ...

The postage will suffice, I'll go and dig them out of the box ...
