Volvo 340 1.4 1990 o/s frontsuspension

Hi! all I am desperate for o/s suspension parts front for 1.4 1990 volvo 340. It collapsed before Christmas luckily near home. I live in Chester le Street Co. Durham. I'll travel to collect if reasonably close eg 100 miles. Or post otherwise. I have spent alot on the car recently just another setback. Hope someone can help!

First, find a tame welder locally.

The cup that the spring sits on is available as a seperate part, but needs welding on proper to the strut leg.

PM "mac" on here as he has some cups in stock.

I should have my old strut assemblies in the garage, dampers are quite new. They are chopped springs though so you might have to swap the springs over if you still want standard ride height. Got some new top bearings for them too.

£40 the pair? (a bit more if posted, if I can find them . . .). I'm in bristol btw.

As an aside, a strut assembly without brake disc, calliper and hub weighs in at about 10.5kg

Yep, tips it into the top band for Standard Parcels.

That was as removed from the car minus the bottom bits, taking the spring and top plate off will get it down a bit further.
